Moda Sallys Stitches Jelly Roll
Moda Sallys Stitches Jelly Roll is printed cotton fabric.
A jelly roll is a versatile quilting material, ideal for creating intricate patchwork quilts, table runners, and various sewing projects with coordinated and precisely cut fabric strips.
A jelly roll contains forty pieces of fabric per pack, and each strip is 2.5 inches wide by 44 inches in length. Moda fabric ranges have up to forty different fabrics in a range, and there are forty pieces in a jelly roll. You will receive one of each fabric in a range; however, when a fabric range has fewer than forty fabrics, you will receive duplicates of some fabrics to make forty pieces in total.
For designer Betsy Chutchian, discovering a fabulous sampler quilt from the 1840–1860s was an unbelievably exciting moment. She was immediately captivated by its oversized and quirky pieced and appliquéd blocks, crafted in terrific fabrics and remarkably well-preserved—truly an extraordinary find.
Through careful study, Betsy and her team have reproduced a number of prints from this sampler, as well as from another quilt in her collection from the same era. These reproductions are a tribute to the original makers and the vibrant colors that defined that period.
As the Sally’s Story block-of-the-month program unfolds, the narrative behind the sampler will gradually be revealed. Betsy invites quilters and history lovers alike to join her in Turning Back Time and reimagining the journey of Sally and her beautiful sampler quilt.
