
Insulating Fleece Wadding, Polyester & Aluminised Fibers, 45 Inch Wide
Pellon® 975 Insul-Fleece⢠is made from polyester fibers which are needle punched with an aluminized scrim binder that helps to reflect heat or cold back to its source. It is soft and comfortable for use in clothing as well as home décor and accessories projects. Insul-Fleece⢠can be sewn through and, once sewn, is machine washable and dryable. Keeps hot things hot longer and cold things cold longer.
Insul-Fleece⢠is not heat proof or fire resistant. We suggest you use an extra layer or two of cotton batting between the outer fabric and Insul-Fleece⢠for pot holders or heat resistant pads. Use caution when handling any hot surfaces. Do not iron directly on the aluminized scrim binder.

PLEASE NOTE:
If you plan to use the 975 Insul-Fleece⢠in a project that will come in contact with any object over 400Ė we recommend that you place a layer or two of cotton batting between the Insul-Fleece⢠and the fabric that will come in contact with the hot object. This will help prevent the Polyester in the Insul-Fleece⢠from melting.
WARNING:
As Insul-Fleece⢠is made of 20% Metalised Polypropylene, it should never be used in the microwave. If youāre making a project that will need to be microwaved, you should use only 100% cotton materials.
General Directions
- Following pattern lines, cut the Insul-Fleece to the desired shape and size. Trim 1/4 Inch from all seam allowances.
- Cut one or two layers of cotton batting the same size as the Insul-Fleece
- If the project will be sewn and turned, place the exterior and lining fabric pieces right sides together and place one piece each of the batting and Insul-Fleece against the wrong side of the lining fabric.
- Place a second piece of cotton batting against wrong side of exterior fabric
- Stitch around all sides leaving a small opening for turning. Turn project right side out through opening and stitch closed.
