The Bernina 590 Sewing Machine is a computerised machine combining functionality with ease of use, thanks to its touch screen, automatic thread cutter, built-in needle threader and programmable needle stop position. The Automatic presser foot lift enables hover mode where the foot floats above fabric making light work of turning corners, applique and quilting. Perfect stitches can be achieved on both sides with automatic thread tension.
There are hundreds of stitches to choose from and a built-in guide to help choose the right stitch for your project. Stitches can be adjusted in length and width up to 9mm. The front-loading bobbin is 70% larger than standard bobbins meaning more stitches sewn from one full bobbin. Upper and lower thread sensors alert of any thread breakages. Engage the Dual feed device for consistent results from top and bottom of fabric, variable speed and a stitch regulator make for great free motion results with either straight or zigzag stitches. A knee lift is also included.
It comes with 8.5 inches of workspace with an extension table and a free arm. A knee lift and 7 full shank presser feet are included. These feet can be stored in the cleverly designed accessory box that magnetises to the back of the machine for easy storage.
