Barn Dance Quilt Pattern Download

This pattern is a download only. 

• Quilt size: 78x 78 inches
• Block size: 18 inch
• Number of blocks: 9 plus 2.25-inch inner border and 4.5-inch pieced border. 

Requirements:

• 1 layer cake
• 2.5 metres of background fabric 
• 50 cms binding fabric
• Creative grids two peaks in one ruler
• Creative grids multi-size 45/90 degree ruler

Templates are included with this pattern as an alternative. 

SORTING YOUR LAYER CAKES FABRICS

• Colour 1 
  Eighteen dark squares.  These need to be distinctly darker than the other squares. Pair them up as one pair will form the star in each of the nine blocks.
  
• Colour 2
  Nine squares - ours were tan 
  
• Colour 3
  Nine squares - ours were blue. These need to be lighter than the dark squares but if you have to use some darker fabrics then you can position them around the edges of the centre of the quilt so they do not dominate.  The remaining six squares will be used in the pieced border.
